Android Engineer

About the role

Starling is looking for an Android Engineer to join its fast‑moving fintech team. You will work in a cross‑functional feature team building and improving the mobile banking experience for millions of customers.

Key responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain Android applications that power Starling’s digital banking services.
• Collaborate with product, design, and backend engineers to deliver new features end‑to‑end.
• Contribute to the tooling and infrastructure used by the wider engineering organisation.
• Participate in code reviews, testing, and continuous improvement of the mobile platform.

Required profile

• Self‑driven and able to take ownership of tasks from concept to delivery.
• Enjoy working in a flat, collaborative environment and sharing knowledge with teammates.
• Passionate about building high‑quality, customer‑focused software.

Required skills

• Strong experience with Android development.
• Proficiency in Java.
