Application Support Engineer – Hybrid (London)

About the role

We are partnering with a fast‑growing technology business to find a Technical Application Support Engineer who will own the health of live customer deployments. Working in a hybrid London setting, you will monitor, troubleshoot and optimise software that delivers real‑world operational value.

Key responsibilities

• Monitor active deployments for uptime, performance and SLA compliance.
• Investigate anomalies using logs, metrics, telemetry and operational data.
• Diagnose issues across data ingestion, integrations, connectivity and software deployments.
• Act as the technical point of contact for deployment‑related problems, escalating with clear evidence when needed.
• Produce concise technical summaries for internal teams and customers.
• Support customer reporting, monthly and service reviews.
• Conduct root‑cause analysis on incidents and recurring problems.
• Create and maintain runbooks, diagnostic guides and knowledge‑base documentation.
• Identify and drive improvements in reliability, monitoring and support processes.

Required profile

• 2–5 years of experience in application, technical or software support, operations or engineering support.
• Proven troubleshooting skills across interconnected systems deployed in customer environments.
• Strong analytical ability with logs, metrics, telemetry or time‑series data.
• Excellent written communication and confidence when dealing with customers.
• Ability to work autonomously and recognise when to escalate.
