Approved Electrician – Contract Roles in Birmingham

About the role

We are seeking an experienced Approved Electrician to join our client’s team on a contract basis, working on automotive and industrial engineering projects across Birmingham and surrounding areas. The role offers competitive rates and the opportunity for ongoing work in manufacturing environments.

Key responsibilities

• Carry out electrical installations and testing within automotive manufacturing plants and industrial facilities.
• Read and interpret electrical drawings to ensure work meets specifications.
• Diagnose and rectify electrical faults to minimise downtime.
• Collaborate with a team to deliver projects safely, efficiently and to a high standard.
• Support the delivery of industrial installation and maintenance projects while adhering to health and safety procedures and regulations.

Required profile

• Gold ECS Card (Approved Electrician).
• NVQ Level 3 in Electrical Installation or equivalent.
• 18th Edition Wiring Regulations qualification.
• Previous experience in industrial or manufacturing environments.
• Testing & Inspection qualification (2391 or equivalent) is advantageous but not essential.
