Area Sales Manager – Flooring

About the role

We are seeking an ambitious Area Sales Manager to drive growth for a leading flooring manufacturer across the Midlands. You will work directly with independent flooring retailers, buying groups and selected national accounts, building long‑term partnerships and delivering product expertise.

Key responsibilities

• Manage a portfolio of independent flooring retailers and selected national accounts.
• Identify and win new retail partners, opening new accounts across the territory.
• Promote a range of carpet, luxury vinyl tile (LVT), laminate and wood flooring solutions.
• Deliver product demonstrations, staff training and merchandising support.
• Negotiate commercial agreements and coordinate promotional activities.
• Collaborate with distributors and internal support teams to ensure high‑standard showroom displays.
• Maintain accurate sales forecasts and pipeline management using the CRM system.
• Achieve and exceed monthly and annual sales targets.

Required profile

• Proven field‑sales experience in flooring, interiors, home improvement or related sectors.
• Track record of growing sales and securing new business with retailers or independent merchants.
• Strong relationship‑building, negotiation and commercial awareness.
• Self‑motivated, proactive and able to manage territory planning effectively.
• Full UK driving licence.

What we offer

• Salary £40,000 – £50,000 per year
• Uncapped bonus potential of approximately £12,000
