Area Sales Manager – LED Lighting

About the role

The Area Sales Manager – LED Lighting will lead field‑sales activities for a national LED lighting manufacturer, focusing on large‑scale projects across the South of England, with 80% of the territory covering London.

Key responsibilities

• Promote a manufactured range of LED lighting to electrical and M&E contractors, large wholesalers and specifiers.
• Develop and close projects worth £30,000‑£200,000 in sectors such as retail, public, hospitality, leisure and student accommodation.
• Manage relationships with key electrical contractors, M&E contractors and major electrical wholesale customers.
• Generate new business from warm leads supplied by large electrical wholesalers.
• Conduct regular face‑to‑face meetings, telephone calls and virtual presentations.

Required profile

• Proven experience stimulating demand via electrical/M&E contractors and large wholesalers.
• Track record of winning and managing large‑scale lighting projects.
• Comfortable engaging with specifiers – architects, consultants, local authorities – although this is not essential.
• Willingness to learn commercial and industrial sectors and develop lighting design knowledge.
• Excellent communication and presentation abilities.

Required skills

• LED lighting product knowledge.
