Assistant Store Manager – Kings Heath

About the role

We are seeking a commercially‑minded Assistant Store Manager to join our growing retail team in Kings Heath. You will work closely with the Store Manager, handling customer enquiries, driving sales and ensuring a high‑quality shopping experience.

Key responsibilities

• Support the Store Manager with the day‑to‑day running of the store, ensuring smooth and efficient operations.
• Handle customer enquiries via phone, email and face‑to‑face, building rapport and converting them into bookings and sales.
• Assist with local sales initiatives and help the store meet its performance targets.
• Review sales reports, identify improvement opportunities and implement actions to boost conversion and service quality.
• Maintain accurate processing of bookings, payments and administrative tasks.
• Uphold company policies, health and safety standards and store visual standards.
• Take ownership of the store in the Store Manager’s absence and support broader business growth.

Required profile

• Proven experience as an Assistant Manager, Supervisor, Team Leader or similar in a customer‑facing environment.
• Confident communicator with a talent for building relationships and closing sales.
• Proactive, sales‑focused mindset with strong commercial awareness.
• People‑first approach with the ability to motivate and lead a team.
• Excellent organisational skills and attention to detail.
