Associate Sustainability Consultant

About the role

We are seeking an Associate Sustainability Consultant to join our fast‑growing national Building Performance team. Based in Manchester (with Leeds also considered), you will help clients achieve Net Zero, decarbonisation and circular‑economy goals across the UK built environment while mentoring junior colleagues.

Key responsibilities

• Lead projects as the technical engineer, overseeing delivery, resourcing and quality assurance.
• Mentor and supervise junior staff, supporting their professional development.
• Facilitate client and stakeholder workshops to define sustainability targets.
• Perform advanced technical modelling, embodied carbon assessments and in‑use energy simulations.
• Collaborate with senior leadership to identify new business opportunities and drive team growth.

Required profile

• Proven experience in building performance, sustainability or decarbonisation consultancy.
• Strong analytical mindset with the ability to translate complex data into clear recommendations.
• Excellent communication skills for client interaction and team leadership.
• Willingness to work in a hybrid, flexible environment.
