Audit Semi‑Senior – Manchester

About the role

We are seeking an ambitious Audit Semi‑Senior to join a forward‑thinking independent practice in Manchester. This hands‑on role offers real exposure to audit assignments, client interaction and professional development within a supportive, people‑focused environment.

Key responsibilities

• Support audit planning and on‑site fieldwork, ensuring delivery against deadlines.
• Perform audit testing, analytical review and documentation in line with UK standards.
• Contribute to audit findings, risk identification and recommendations.
• Liaise directly with clients, building strong working relationships.
• Review junior team members' work and provide guidance.
• Collaborate across teams to deliver a seamless client service.

Required profile

• ACA/ACCA part‑qualified (or equivalent).
• Experience within a UK practice audit or audit & accounts role.
• Strong understanding of audit processes, risk and compliance.
• Confident communicator with good client‑facing skills.
• Proactive, organised and keen to develop and progress.

Required skills

• Strong knowledge of UK audit standards and procedures.
• Ability to conduct audit testing and analytical review.
• Effective written and verbal communication for client interaction.
