Audit Senior – Birmingham

About the role

We are seeking an ambitious Audit Senior to lead a varied portfolio of audit assignments for owner‑managed businesses and corporate clients in Birmingham. You will take ownership of the audit process from planning through to completion, building strong client relationships while developing your leadership skills.

Key responsibilities

• Lead audit assignments from planning to finalisation, preparing audit files and statutory accounts.
• Identify audit risks and collaborate with Managers and Partners to resolve technical issues.
• Act as the primary day‑to‑day contact for clients throughout the audit process.
• Supervise, coach and review the work of trainees and junior auditors.
• Manage assignments to budget while maintaining high quality standards.
• Identify opportunities to add value and support wider advisory projects.

Required profile

• ACA or ACCA qualified with recent experience in a UK accountancy practice.
• Proven experience leading audit assignments from planning through to completion.
• Strong technical knowledge of UK auditing and financial reporting standards.
• Excellent communication and client relationship skills.
• Proactive, organised and able to manage multiple assignments.
