Audit Senior – External Audit Role

About the role

Join a Top20 UK Accounting Firm as an Audit Senior, managing your own portfolio of clients across diverse industry sectors. The role is split 80% audit and 20% accounts, offering exposure to UK and international standards and regulations.

Key responsibilities

• Support partners and gain exposure to a wide range of accounting and audit issues.
• Manage diverse domestic and international clients, including manufacturing, IT, transport and business services up to £50m turnover.
• Act as the main point of contact for UK‑based companies and UK subsidiaries of overseas parents.
• Plan non‑complex assignments, meet budgets and deadlines.
• Set objectives for junior audit staff, supervise on‑site work and provide coaching.
• Liaise closely with audit clients and stakeholders to build long‑term relationships.
• Ensure audit work is profitable, timely and complies with internal processes.
• Prepare for and attend final audit review meetings with directors and clients.

Required profile

• Qualified ACA or ACCA audit senior.
• Degree‑educated with at least 3 years of practical audit experience.
• Some staff management experience.
