Azure DevOps Engineer

About the role

We are seeking an experienced Azure DevOps Engineer with active SC clearance to join a high‑profile programme in a secure enterprise environment. The role will focus on designing, deploying and managing an Enterprise Detection and Response (EDR) solution across a large Azure cloud estate.

Key responsibilities

• Design, implement and operate an Enterprise Detection and Response solution across Azure virtual machines, Kubernetes clusters and containerised workloads.
• Develop and maintain Infrastructure as Code using Terraform.
• Create and manage CI/CD pipelines with GitHub Actions or equivalent automation tools.
• Collaborate with DevOps, platform engineering and product owners to ensure secure, resilient and highly available deployments.
• Monitor platform performance using observability tools and troubleshoot production issues.
• Follow change‑management processes for safe production releases.
• Engage with technical and non‑technical stakeholders and promote continuous improvement.

Required profile

• Active Security Check (SC) clearance – mandatory.
• Proven commercial experience with Microsoft Azure.
• Strong background in Infrastructure as Code (Terraform) and CI/CD pipeline development.
• Hands‑on experience with Kubernetes and containerised environments.
• Familiarity with monitoring and observability tools such as Prometheus, Grafana, Dynatrace, AppDynamics or Splunk.
• Solid understanding of networking fundamentals including DNS, VPNs, load balancing, firewalls and related protocols.
• Excellent communication skills and ability to work with cross‑functional teams.
