Behaviour Mentor – Secondary School (Term‑time)

About the role

We are seeking a dedicated Behaviour Mentor to join welcoming secondary schools in Haringey, North London. You will work on a term‑time basis, supporting pupils who need extra guidance to stay engaged and succeed in their learning.

Key responsibilities

• Provide one‑to‑one and small‑group behaviour support for students.
• Help pupils remain focused and engaged during lessons.
• Build positive, trusting relationships with young people who require additional assistance.
• Collaborate with teachers, pastoral staff and SEN teams to promote positive behaviour and emotional wellbeing.
• Support students both inside the classroom and during break times.

Required profile

• Experience working with young people in schools, youth work, coaching, mentoring or similar settings.
• Excellent communication and relationship‑building abilities.
• Confidence in managing challenging behaviour calmly and professionally.
• Patient, resilient and proactive attitude.
• Commitment to safeguarding and supporting young people.
