About the role
This full‑time position supports pupils in a specialist school in Reading who experience behavioural, emotional and social difficulties. You will work closely with teachers, teaching assistants and pastoral staff to create a safe, structured and positive learning environment.
Key responsibilities
- Support pupils with emotional regulation and positive behaviour strategies.
- Help manage challenging behaviour in a calm and consistent manner.
- Build positive and trusting relationships with pupils.
- Provide support to pupils both inside and outside the classroom.
Required profile
- Experience working with children, young people, SEN, SEMH or challenging behaviour.
- Resilient, dedicated and enthusiastic attitude.
- Ability to collaborate with teachers, teaching assistants and pastoral staff.
