Business Development Manager (Chemicals & Hygiene)

About the role

We are looking for an energetic Business Development Manager to sell cleaning chemicals and hygiene products to hospitality, universities and other organisations across the M60 corridor. You will work primarily on the road, combining door‑to‑door visits, cold and warm calling, and account management to grow our client base.

Key responsibilities

• Generate new business across Manchester, Leeds and South Chester through prospecting and face‑to‑face visits.
• Conduct cold and warm calls to identify and qualify leads.
• Maintain and develop existing client relationships, providing product advice and support.
• Achieve sales targets and report progress to management.
• Attend sales meetings, training sessions and occasional office events.

Required profile

• Proven sales experience, preferably within the chemicals or hygiene sector.
• Full UK driving licence.
• Ability to commute to Manchester, Leeds or South Chester.
• Self‑motivated, goal‑oriented and comfortable working independently on the road.

• Base salary £32,000‑£35,000 plus OTE up to £60,000.
