Business Development Manager

About the role

We are looking for an ambitious, customer‑focused Business Development Manager to join Hudson Lifting Limited in Birmingham. In this role you will drive revenue growth by nurturing existing accounts, uncovering new opportunities and promoting our lifting‑equipment solutions across the West Midlands.

Key responsibilities

• Build and maintain strong relationships with existing and prospective customers.
• Visit customers regularly to understand their needs and identify growth opportunities.
• Maximise sales within existing accounts and convert dormant or zero‑spend accounts.
• Identify, pursue and secure new business opportunities.
• Research trade publications and industry news to spot upcoming projects.
• Promote monthly offers, new products and services.
• Execute an 8‑week contact plan including cold‑calling, prospecting and customer mail‑shots.
