Business Development Manager

About the role

Pepperl+Fuchs is seeking a high‑performing Business Development Manager to drive new‑business growth across the UK. This field‑based, hunter role focuses on opening doors with industrial manufacturers, OEMs and system integrators, turning opportunities into long‑term commercial success.

Key responsibilities

• Identify, target and secure new business opportunities throughout the United Kingdom.
• Develop and nurture relationships with industrial manufacturers, automation specialists and engineering firms.
• Sell Pepperl+Fuchs’ portfolio of industrial sensors, automation and safety solutions.
• Deliver technical presentations and product demonstrations to prospective customers.
• Build and manage a robust pipeline of qualified opportunities.
• Collaborate closely with internal technical specialists and Area Sales Managers to maximise each opportunity.
• Utilise CRM, market intelligence and AI‑powered sales tools to drive commercial success.
• Represent the company at exhibitions, industry events and customer meetings.

Required profile

• Proven track record in business development or technical field sales.
• Experience selling into industrial manufacturing, factory automation, engineering or related sectors.
• Strong commercial acumen with a results‑driven mindset.
• Ability to work independently, develop own sales strategy and influence business growth.

Required skills

• Experience with CRM systems.
• Ability to deliver technical presentations and product demonstrations.
