Business Tourism & Projects Coordinator

About the role

We are seeking an ambitious Business Tourism & Projects Coordinator to join the West Midlands Growth Company’s Visitor Economy team. You will help drive business tourism activity across the region, supporting major events and strategic initiatives that boost the visitor economy.

Key responsibilities

• Support the delivery of business tourism programmes that attract meetings, conferences, exhibitions and other business events to Birmingham and the wider West Midlands.
• Coordinate strategic projects, exhibitions, sales missions, familiarisation visits and the Conference Ambassador Network.
• Work closely with hotels, venues, tourism businesses, universities, local authorities and other industry partners to promote the region as a leading business‑events destination.
• Provide operational support to ensure projects are delivered on time, within budget and aligned with organisational objectives.

Required profile

• Organised, proactive and able to manage multiple stakeholder relationships.
• Strong communication skills and a passion for developing the visitor economy.
• Experience or interest in business tourism, events, destination management or related sectors.
