Case Manager – Welfare Support

About the role

We are seeking an empathetic and proactive Case Manager to join our purpose‑driven welfare team. The role involves developing personalised support plans, coordinating resources and helping individuals navigate mental health, financial and housing challenges.

Key responsibilities

• Assess client needs and create tailored support plans covering mental health, financial wellbeing, employment, housing and welfare benefits.
• Manage a caseload, monitor progress and adapt plans to achieve positive outcomes.
• Review grant applications and coordinate with service providers to deliver sustainable solutions.
• Signpost and refer clients to specialist agencies and support services.
• Deliver training programmes, including Mental Health First Aid, to industry organisations and stakeholders.
• Maintain accurate, confidential case records in line with GDPR and audit requirements.
• Build and maintain relationships with external agencies, charities and partners.
• Contribute to helpline coverage, reporting and attendance at relevant meetings.

Required profile

• Minimum 12 months experience in social work, mental health or a related professional role.
• Degree or relevant training in psychology, mental health or a related field.
• Ability to work with emotionally challenging situations with professionalism and resilience.
• Collaborative and respectful approach when supporting clients and colleagues.

Required skills

• Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications, especially Word and Outlook.
• Experience using internet‑based case management systems.
