About the role
As a Chef de Partie at Ascot Grange Care Home, you will support the Head Chef and Sous Chef in delivering a high‑quality, nutritionally balanced culinary service for residents. You will work in a caring environment where your compassion and dedication directly enhance residents' wellbeing.
Key responsibilities
- Assist the Head Chef and Sous Chef in leading the kitchen team to provide comprehensive, high‑standard meals.
- Participate in meetings with residents and department heads to discuss catering needs and special dietary requirements.
- Prepare nutritious food and beverages to the standards set by the Head Chef.
- Maintain cost‑effective stock control systems to minimise waste.
- Collaborate on menu development and regular review to ensure variety and nutritional balance.
Required profile
- Hold a catering qualification such as City & Guilds 706/1 and 706/2, NVQ, or equivalent.
- Basic Food Hygiene Certificate.
- Minimum of one year’s experience in a catering or kitchen environment.
- Demonstrated compassion and commitment to high‑quality culinary service for residents.
- Flexibility to cover a range of responsibilities at short notice.
