Chef de Partie – Temporary Full‑Time

About the role

We are seeking a passionate Chef de Partie to join a dedicated catering team within a care environment. You will work across a production kitchen, café/restaurant and ward kitchens, delivering high‑quality, nutritious meals for patients, visitors and staff.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare and cook fresh, high‑quality meals for breakfast, lunch and dinner.
• Support menu planning and contribute ideas for service improvements.
• Supervise and guide Catering Assistants and Porters.
• Ensure full compliance with Food Safety, HACCP, Health & Safety, COSHH and company procedures.
• Complete food safety documentation and maintain accurate records.
• Carry out cleaning and equipment maintenance checks to keep the kitchen safe and hygienic.

Required profile

• Previous experience as a Chef de Partie or strong chef experience in a high‑volume catering setting.
• Excellent knowledge of food hygiene, food safety and health & safety standards.
• Ability to lead by example and support junior team members.
• Strong organisational skills with attention to detail.
• Flexible, proactive and able to adapt to changing service needs.
• Availability to work a 5‑day rota, including weekends, bank holidays and religious festivals.
