Chemistry Tutor / Teacher – GCSE & A‑Level (Part‑time)

About the role
We are looking for a qualified Chemistry Tutor/Teacher to deliver the science curriculum across KS3 and KS4. You will teach GCSE Chemistry, either as part of combined sciences or as a separate subject, and may also deliver A‑Level Chemistry where appropriate.
Key responsibilities
- Deliver the science curriculum across KS3 and KS4.
- Teach GCSE Chemistry as part of combined and/or separate sciences.
- Explain core chemistry concepts clearly to students.
- Prepare students for exams using past papers.
- Potentially teach A‑Level Chemistry where appropriate.
Required profile
- Degree in Chemistry or a related science (NQT or PGCE Secondary).
- Experience teaching or tutoring GCSE and A‑Level Chemistry.
- Strong communication skills and patience with students.
- Experience teaching secondary science in a UK school (ideal but not required).
- Right to work in the UK.
- Enhanced DBS on the Update Service or willingness to obtain one.
- Two satisfactory professional references.
