Chief Finance Officer – East of England South

About the role

We are seeking a top‑quality Chief Finance Officer / Finance Director who values flexibility and autonomy. The role involves delivering CFO services to ambitious private businesses (£2‑50M) across the East of England South region, helping owners reach their strategic goals.

Key responsibilities

• Provide part‑time CFO services to mid‑sized private companies, supporting growth, acquisition and consolidation initiatives.
• Deliver the financial numbers that matter to clients, translating data into actionable insights for business owners, CEOs and MDs.
• Build and manage a personal portfolio of clients, leveraging a global network of CFOs for collaboration and support.
• Act as a trusted advisor, combining commercial finance expertise with strategic business guidance.
• Maintain long‑term relationships with clients, ensuring ongoing value and alignment with their long‑term objectives.

Required profile

• Qualified by a major UK chartered accounting institute.
• Proven experience as a CFO or Finance Director in commercial environments.
• Strong understanding of commercial finance, business strategy and financial modelling.
• Demonstrated ability to build genuine, long‑lasting client relationships.
• Self‑starter with a ‘can‑do’ attitude and the ambition to grow a client portfolio.
