Civil Engineer – Drainage & Infrastructure Design

About the role

Ready to step up and take greater ownership within a respected Birmingham consultancy? We are looking for a Civil Engineer to support residential and commercial development schemes across the Midlands, reporting directly to a Director and gaining exposure to design delivery and statutory approvals.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare detailed drainage and infrastructure designs for residential and commercial projects.
• Produce drawings for S104, S38 and S278 submissions.
• Liaise with local authorities and multidisciplinary design teams.
• Utilise AutoCAD, Civil 3D or PDS together with specialised drainage software.
• Ensure all outputs comply with UK standards and statutory requirements.

Required profile

• Three to four years of experience in a UK civil engineering consultancy.
• Strong background in drainage and development infrastructure design.
• Degree qualified in Civil Engineering.
• Confident communicator with problem‑solving ability.
