About the role
Caralex Recruitment is recruiting on behalf of a residential developer for a Civil Engineer to join their well‑established Technical department in Birmingham. The role involves appointing, overseeing and managing external civil engineering design consultants across multiple residential projects.
Key responsibilities
- Appoint, oversee and manage external civil engineering design consultants.
- Produce layout plans and technical reports for residential developments.
- Brief and commission site investigations.
- Coordinate engineering consultants on design works such as roads, sewers and private drainage.
- Ensure compliance with relevant section agreements and standards.
Required profile
- Civil Engineer with design consultancy experience in the residential sector.
- Knowledge of Section 38, 104 and 278 agreements.
- Qualified to HNC level or equivalent in Civil Engineering or a related building discipline.
