Client Engagement Team Manager

About the role

The Portfolio Group is seeking a Client Engagement Team Manager to lead a team of around ten account managers. You will oversee the onboarding of new clients, introduce new products, and ensure a high level of customer service for an HR software and employment law provider.

Key responsibilities

• Manage the end‑to‑end client journey from activation to ongoing engagement.
• Develop and execute onboarding programmes that achieve at least 80% client activation.
• Maintain a "best in class" service standard, ensuring 100% task completion for new and existing clients.
• Collaborate with cross‑functional teams to design email campaigns, tutorials and guides that support onboarding.
• Analyse feedback and performance data to continuously improve processes and reduce client cancellations year‑on‑year.
• Track and report on KPIs related to activation, engagement and retention.
• Conduct regular 1‑to‑1s, appraisals and coaching sessions for team members.

Required profile

• Proven experience in client onboarding, activation and engagement within a similar industry.
• Demonstrated team‑leadership experience, including performance monitoring and staff development.
• Strong analytical mindset with the ability to use data to drive improvements.
• Excellent communication and customer‑service skills.
