Clinical Negligence Solicitor

About the role

Join a nationally recognised clinical negligence team in Birmingham and help survivors of abuse obtain justice. You will work in a supportive, inclusive environment that values professional growth and well‑being.

Key responsibilities

• Manage a personal caseload of clinical negligence and abuse claims from initial contact to resolution.
• Assist senior solicitors on complex or high‑value matters by conducting research, preparing documentation and supporting litigation strategies.
• Provide clear advice and emotional support to clients who have experienced physical, sexual or psychological abuse.
• Coordinate with Support and Rehabilitation Coordinators to arrange holistic care packages, including therapy referrals and housing support.
• Participate in group actions against institutions such as schools or local authorities, ensuring careful coordination and sensitivity.
• Maintain accurate case records and ensure compliance with regulatory and best‑practice standards.
• Attend court hearings, settlement meetings or mediations as required.

Required profile

• Qualified solicitor with a genuine desire to help survivors of clinical negligence.
• Strong empathy and ability to handle sensitive client situations.
• Excellent organisational skills and attention to detail.
