Commercial Solicitor (6+ PQE)

About the role

We are seeking a Commercial Solicitor with at least six years post‑qualification experience to join our Birmingham team. The role involves advising universities, schools, public‑sector bodies and technology‑focused organisations on complex commercial projects, with opportunities for flexible working and an international element.

Key responsibilities

• Draft and negotiate commercial contracts, partnership and collaboration agreements.
• Advise on joint ventures, outsourcing arrangements, procurement matters and technology‑related agreements.
• Support high‑profile projects across the education, government and technology sectors.
• Develop innovative commercial solutions and contribute to multidisciplinary team work.

Required profile

• Minimum 6 years PQE with a strong background in commercial law.
• Demonstrated interest in the education, government or technology sectors.
• Excellent drafting, negotiation and client‑service skills.
• Ability to build long‑term client relationships and manage complex matters.
