Commercial Solicitor

About the role

The Portfolio Group is expanding its legal team and seeks a bright, confident Commercial Solicitor to join a dynamic, service‑led firm. Whether you are newly qualified or have several years of experience, you will manage your own caseload and contribute to a broad range of commercial, corporate, civil and employment matters.

Key responsibilities

• Conduct County Court litigation and represent clients in court.
• Carry out regulatory investigations, interviews under caution, inquests and prosecutions arising from workplace accidents.
• Provide commercial legal advice, dispute resolution support and assist with potential mergers and acquisitions.
• Handle non‑contentious employment law issues and represent clients in Employment Tribunal cases.
• Offer advice and assistance to companies and associated businesses within the Group.

Required profile

• Experience across a range of practice areas in a leading law firm or in‑house team.
• Strong commitment to remarkable client service.
• Positive attitude towards a busy workload, team collaboration and business development.
• Commercially focused with excellent communication skills for diverse clients and stakeholders.
• Newly qualified or tenured solicitor with commercial, corporate, civil and/or employment law experience; employment law specialism desirable but not essential.
