Commercial Specialist – Procurement (MCIPS) – £650/day

About the role

Join the Civil Nuclear Constabulary’s procurement team as a Commercial Specialist. This temporary, full‑time position offers a hybrid working model and a day rate of £650 inside IR35. You will support high‑value projects and ensure procurement aligns with strategic objectives.

Key responsibilities

• Manage end‑to‑end procurement for projects with budgets over £1 million.
• Lead key tenders, ensuring compliance with statutory, regulatory and government requirements.
• Monitor non‑pay spend to guarantee value for money and adherence to standards.
• Collaborate on strategic projects and oversee procurement workstreams.
• Continuously improve commercial policies, health & safety, and sustainability practices.

Required profile

• Professional MCIPS membership (essential).
• Proven experience managing procurement in the public sector.
• Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to build relationships across diverse teams.
• Analytical mindset for reviewing contracts and financial metrics.
• Ability to manage multiple contracts simultaneously with attention to detail.
• Must have continuously resided in the UK for at least five years.
