Commodities Product Control Analyst

About the role

We are seeking a motivated Commodities Product Control Analyst to join a leading financial services firm in London. The role sits within the middle office and supports the daily profit and loss (P&L) processes for a range of commodities trading desks.

Key responsibilities

• Assist with the daily P&L production and analysis for commodities trading desks.
• Investigate and explain P&L movements, collaborating closely with traders, risk and finance teams.
• Support daily risk reporting and analysis.
• Review and validate trade bookings, valuations and market data inputs.
• Contribute to process improvements, controls and reporting enhancements within the middle office function.

Required profile

• Exposure to commodities markets such as energy, metals or agricultural products.
• Experience supporting P&L production and analysis.
• Understanding of financial markets, trading activities and valuation principles.
• 1–3 years of experience in product control, middle office or a similar commodities‑focused role.
• Degree in Finance, Economics, Mathematics or a related discipline.
• Strong data analysis capabilities.
