Compliance Manager

About the role

The Compliance Manager role is newly created to support a leading cancer charity in maintaining the highest standards of compliance. Reporting to the Associate Director of Corporate Services & Grants, you will work closely with the senior leadership team and across the organisation, helping to embed a culture of accountability, transparency and continuous improvement.

Key responsibilities

• Lead the development, implementation and ongoing management of a comprehensive compliance framework.
• Coordinate regulatory reporting and ensure adherence to Charity Commission requirements and other relevant legislation.
• Oversee the contract review process, providing consistent guidance and support to internal teams.
• Act as the primary contact for fundraising compliance queries, delivering briefings and advice to teams.
• Monitor and audit third‑party fundraising partnerships to ensure proper records, oversight and regulatory compliance.

Required profile

• Degree‑level education or equivalent.
• Relevant qualification in Legal, Compliance, Data Protection or Governance (ideal).
• Proven experience in legal, compliance or governance within a non‑profit environment.
• Experience interpreting and applying regulatory frameworks such as Charity Commission requirements and UK GDPR.
• Background in contract review, supplier governance or working with legal advisers.
• Strong communication skills and ability to liaise with senior stakeholders.
