Control Room Manager

About the role

The Control Room Manager will provide second‑line oversight of Conflicts of Interest across ANZ's international operations. Working within a global team, you will ensure that conflicts are identified early, assessed consistently, and mitigated in line with regulatory requirements.

Key responsibilities

• Advise on compliance and regulatory requirements related to Conflicts of Interest.
• Review and assess conflict scenarios affecting the bank, its customers and employees.
• Provide independent challenge and guidance on conflicts arising from business activities and personal relationships.
• Maintain and update the Conflicts of Interest Policy, standards and guidance.
• Lead thematic reviews and produce committee‑ready reporting for Conduct, Risk and Executive committees.
• Coordinate responses to internal audit and regulator enquiries on conflicts.
• Maintain control frameworks, evidence standards and approval processes.
• Support issue and incident management, including root‑cause analysis and remediation.

Required profile

• Strong knowledge of conflicts of interest, compliance and regulatory obligations.
• Experience working with line‑1 business, legal, compliance, operational risk and internal audit stakeholders.
• Ability to produce clear, analytical reports for senior committees and board members.
• Proven capability to lead reviews and manage control frameworks across a global footprint.
