Copywriting Manager – Lead Brand Voice

About the role

AJ Bell is creating a new senior position to shape and own its brand voice across all channels. As Copywriting Manager you will lead a team of copywriters, set creative direction and explore AI‑enhanced content creation while ensuring compliance with brand guidelines and regulatory standards.

Key responsibilities

• Produce high‑quality long‑form and short‑form copy for multiple channels and campaigns.
• Develop and refine copy briefs, tone‑of‑voice, and brand language guidelines.
• Identify and implement AI tools to improve workflow efficiency, consistency and speed.
• Mentor, coach and manage a team of copywriters, allocating work fairly and meeting service level agreements.
• Collaborate with UX writers, creative, marketing, product and senior leadership to embed brand voice early in projects.
• Manage relationships with external agencies and oversee peak‑period resources.
• Communicate capacity challenges and support resource planning for upcoming campaigns.

Required profile

• Proven experience leading copywriting or content teams in a commercial environment.
• Strong creative vision with a passion for evolving brand voice and content strategy.
• Interest in leveraging AI tools responsibly to enhance creativity and efficiency.
• Excellent stakeholder management and ability to balance competing priorities.
