Corporate Finance Assistant Director

About the role

An exciting opportunity for an experienced corporate finance professional to join a leading advisory boutique in Birmingham as an Assistant Director. You will play a pivotal part in deal execution, client relationship management and will have a clear pathway towards a Director role within a high‑performing, mid‑market team.

Key responsibilities

• Lead the execution of corporate finance transactions from mandate to completion.
• Manage day‑to‑day client relationships, acting as the primary contact for stakeholders.
• Support origination activities by identifying and developing new business opportunities.
• Oversee financial modelling, valuation analysis and the preparation of marketing materials.
• Mentor and develop junior team members to ensure high‑quality deliverables.
• Collaborate with senior leadership on strategic assignments and complex deals.

Required profile

• Extensive experience in corporate finance, M&A or transaction services, preferably in a mid‑market advisory environment.
• ACA, ACCA or CFA qualification (or equivalent).
• Strong financial modelling and analytical capabilities.
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills with a proven ability to build lasting client relationships.
• Demonstrated experience managing and developing junior staff.
• Ambition to progress to a Director‑level role in the near term.
