Corporate Senior Associate – Solicitor (Birmingham)

About the role
We are partnering with a national law firm expanding its Corporate team in Birmingham. The firm seeks a senior associate solicitor ready to take ownership of complex corporate transactions and progress quickly towards partnership.
Key responsibilities
- Lead and manage a diverse portfolio of corporate deals, including M&A, private equity investments, exits, equity capital markets transactions, joint ventures and reorganisations.
- Mentor junior team members, providing guidance on legal matters and professional development.
- Collaborate closely with partners on high‑value or complex assignments while maintaining an independent caseload.
- Develop and nurture client relationships across sectors such as manufacturing, retail, recruitment and education.
- Participate in networking and business‑development activities to grow the local corporate finance market.
Required profile
- Minimum 5 years post‑qualification experience in a reputable private practice.
- Demonstrated ability to manage transactions independently and work collaboratively with partners.
- Motivation to progress towards partnership within a clear, two‑year timeline.
