About the role

This position offers a senior‑level solicitor role within a multi‑award‑winning law firm that specialises in Court of Protection matters. You will join a hybrid‑working environment in Manchester, handling a diverse caseload of property and affairs files while supporting senior colleagues on complex applications.

Key responsibilities

• Manage a portfolio of property and affairs files, coordinating with the firm’s case workers.
• Assist senior team members with high‑value, contested Court of Protection cases.
• Maintain daily client contact, providing practical and legal advice.
• Prepare and submit applications to the Court of Protection.
• Deal with jurisdictional issues and investigations into financial abuse.

Required profile

• Minimum 2 years’ post‑qualification experience in Court of Protection work.
• Experience in professional deputyship and property & affairs matters.
• Proven ability to apply for and contest Court of Protection cases.
• Knowledge of welfare issues and care‑funding options, including local authority and NHS funding.
