Credit Controller – Remote (Insurance)

About the role

We are seeking an experienced Credit Controller to join a highly regarded insurance business. Working fully remotely, you will own a high‑volume ledger, build strong relationships with brokers and clients, and play a key part in maintaining healthy cash flow.

Key responsibilities

• Proactively chase outstanding debt by phone and email.
• Manage and reduce aged debt across a high‑volume ledger.
• Investigate and resolve payment queries and account discrepancies.
• Allocate cash and reconcile customer accounts.
• Build strong relationships with brokers, clients and internal stakeholders.
• Produce debtor reports and provide updates to management.
• Escalate problem accounts where appropriate.
• Support cash‑flow and working‑capital objectives across the business.

Required profile

• Previous credit control experience gained within an insurance business.
• Strong understanding of collections, aged debt management and account reconciliations.
• Experience managing high‑volume customer ledgers.
• Excellent communication and relationship‑building skills.
• Ability to investigate and resolve complex payment queries.
• Strong organisational skills and attention to detail.
• Self‑motivated with the ability to work independently in a remote environment.
• Proactive and commercially minded approach to credit control.
