Curriculum Team Leader and Lecturer in Health

About the role

Bath College is seeking a Curriculum Team Leader and Lecturer in Health to drive high‑quality, learner‑centred provision across its health and social care programmes. This permanent, full‑time position combines academic leadership with hands‑on teaching, supporting students from entry level to Level 5 qualifications.

Key responsibilities

• Lead, motivate and develop a team of academic staff delivering health‑related courses.
• Manage the delivery, coordination and continuous development of a diverse portfolio of health programmes.
• Monitor key performance indicators such as attendance, achievement, retention and assessment, taking corrective action when needed.
• Oversee marketing and information‑and‑advice‑guidance (IAG) activities to recruit suitable learners.
• Implement robust quality‑assurance and improvement processes to maintain high academic standards.
• Teach health modules, prepare schemes of work, lesson plans and assessment materials, and assess student performance in line with awarding‑body requirements.
• Support delivery of T‑Level Health, BTEC Level 3 Health and Social Care, and higher‑education programmes as required.

Required profile

• Degree‑level education or equivalent.
• Relevant teaching qualification.
• Proven experience in curriculum development and academic team leadership.
• Strong understanding of health and social care education standards.
• Ability to analyse data and drive improvements in student outcomes.

What we offer

• Permanent contract, 37 hours per week, 52 weeks per year.
