Customer Service and Operations Coordinator – Freight

About the role

The Customer Service and Operations Coordinator – Freight will oversee international freight shipments from booking to final delivery, ensuring customers receive proactive updates and high‑quality service. Based in Windsor, the role works closely with carriers, overseas agents, transport providers and customs partners to guarantee smooth, compliant movement of goods.

Key responsibilities

• Coordinate import and export freight shipments from origin to delivery.
• Act as the primary point of contact for customers, providing proactive updates and resolving queries.
• Liaise with airlines, overseas agents, transport providers and customs partners to ensure smooth cargo movement.
• Prepare and verify operational documentation, including transport and customs paperwork.
• Manage shipment bookings, negotiate rates with carriers and suppliers.
• Monitor shipment progress and communicate any delays or issues to customers.
• Support customs clearance processes through third‑party brokers.
• Verify supplier costs, process invoices and maintain shipment profitability.
• Ensure compliance with freight, customs and transport regulations.
• Build and maintain strong relationships with customers and key service providers.

Required profile

• Minimum of 1 year experience in a freight forwarding environment.
• Previous experience in a Customer Service Coordinator, Operations Coordinator, Freight Forwarder or similar role.
• Excellent communication and organisational skills.
• Strong customer‑facing abilities and a proactive attitude.
