Cyber Security Analyst

About the role

Join the growing ICT Department at The Portfolio Group as a Cyber Security Analyst in Manchester. You will be part of the InfoSec team, delivering day‑to‑day security operations and supporting junior analysts in a fast‑paced, cloud‑first environment.

Key responsibilities

• Manage security tickets and requests through Halo ITSM.
• Monitor and respond to alerts using Palo Alto Cortex XSIAM, XSOAR and Cortex XDR.
• Operate Microsoft Purview, Mimecast, Abnormal, Nessus and Microsoft 365 for detection, protection and vulnerability management.
• Investigate incidents involving malware, phishing, data loss or network intrusion and support data‑protection activities.
• Collaborate with Infrastructure, Network, Development, DevOps and Service Desk teams to ensure consistent security governance.
• Act as the first escalation point for junior and graduate analysts.
