Data Analyst Apprentice

About the role

Join the team at Birmingham Airport as a Data Analyst Apprentice and start your career turning raw data into actionable insights. You will work with property portfolio data, build performance dashboards and help shape strategic decisions across the airport’s asset management function.

Key responsibilities

• Collect, cleanse, validate and maintain asset data across enterprise databases and investment platforms.
• Develop and maintain dashboards and performance reports to monitor KPIs, asset health and lifecycle costs.
• Analyse trends and present actionable insights to support asset management and continuous improvement.
• Provide data‑driven analysis for maintenance strategies, investment planning and decarbonisation programmes.
• Translate technical findings into clear, jargon‑free reports and presentations for both technical and non‑technical audiences.
• Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders to understand business requirements and communicate insights.

Required profile

• Level 3 qualification (apprenticeship, A‑levels, BTEC) or equivalent work experience (typically two years).
• 5 GCSEs including English and Maths at grade 4 (C) or above.
• Experience using Excel (pivot tables, XLookup) and Microsoft Office products.
• Ability to provide official documentation for any international qualifications.
