Data Architect – Hybrid/Flexible (Manchester)

About the role

We are seeking a Data Architect to join our high‑performing Architecture & Strategy team in Manchester. The role will shape enterprise‑wide data architecture, delivering scalable, secure and future‑ready data solutions that support critical business operations and analytics. You will work closely with senior stakeholders to align technical delivery with strategic priorities.

Key responsibilities

• Define and maintain the organisation's data architecture framework.
• Design and integrate data solutions across multiple platforms and systems.
• Lead data modelling, data flows, and system interoperability initiatives.
• Drive best practice in data governance, metadata, and quality standards.
• Translate business requirements into effective technical solutions.
• Collaborate with architecture, engineering, and business teams to deliver value.
• Ensure compliance with relevant regulations and data management standards.

Required profile

• Proven experience as a Data Architect or senior data‑focused role.
• Strong background in data modelling, integration and architecture frameworks.
• Solid understanding of data governance and metadata management.
• Knowledge of enterprise architecture principles and regulatory compliance.
• Experience with modern data platforms and cloud technologies.
• Ability to engage with senior stakeholders and communicate complex ideas clearly.
