Data Engineer – Azure Platform (Hybrid)

About the role

This Data Engineer position supports a leading specialist care provider in Birmingham as they embark on a major data transformation. Working in a hybrid model, you will help build a modern Azure‑based data platform that underpins reporting, analytics, self‑service data access and future AI initiatives.

Key responsibilities

• Design and implement end‑to‑end ETL/ELT pipelines from requirements gathering through to production deployment.
• Develop and maintain scalable data models, transformations and data products using Azure technologies.
• Optimise data pipelines for performance, data quality, consistency and availability.
• Support the creation of an enterprise ontology model to improve data domain relationships.

Required profile

• Strong experience with Microsoft Azure data‑engineering services.
• Proven ability to design and develop ETL/ELT pipelines.
• Solid SQL development and data‑modelling skills.
• Familiarity with CI/CD processes and deployment best practices.
