Data QA Engineer

About the role

We are looking for a Data QA Engineer to join a fast‑growing data function delivering a large‑scale Lakehouse programme. The role focuses on ensuring the reliability and quality of data platforms, pipelines and products, supporting business decision‑making across the organisation.

Key responsibilities

• Plan, design and execute testing activities for data platforms, pipelines and downstream products.
• Perform functional, integration and regression testing to validate releases.
• Collaborate with Data Engineers, Analytics Engineers and business stakeholders to identify risks and verify solutions.
• Log, track and manage defects through to resolution.
• Contribute to testing strategies, quality frameworks and continuous‑improvement initiatives.
• Support testing within Databricks and PySpark environments.

Required profile

• Proven experience in a Data QA, software testing or quality‑assurance role.
• Hands‑on experience testing data platforms, pipelines and data products.
• Strong communication and collaboration skills with technical and business teams.
• Ability to work independently and take ownership of testing activities.
