Data Scientist - Payment Success

About the role

Join Checkout.com’s Payment Success team as a Data Scientist, helping leading merchants optimise their payment performance. You will work in a fast‑moving fintech environment, using data‑driven insights to shape strategies that impact billions of transactions worldwide.

Key responsibilities

• Deliver expertise and guidance to key merchants by crafting optimal payments strategies.
• Conduct deep‑dive exploratory data analysis to uncover insights and anomalies.
• Design and run experiments and A/B tests, including ML‑based solutions, to improve performance.
• Develop automation tools for monitoring and optimising merchant performance.
• Collaborate across product, engineering and executive teams to ensure a seamless merchant experience.

Required profile

• 3+ years in an analytical role within fintech or consultancy, using analysis to make business recommendations.
• Experience as a Payment Analyst or similar is a strong advantage.
• Data‑driven mindset with clear success metrics and measurement of progress.
• Customer‑focused attitude and ability to build robust relationships with merchants.
