Debt Finance Paralegal

About the role

We are seeking a motivated Paralegal to join the Debt Finance team of a leading US law firm in London. The position is permanent and offers hybrid working, allowing you to support a dynamic practice area while developing specialised knowledge in leveraged finance.

Key responsibilities

• Satisfy KYC documentation requirements on transactions.
• Liaise with external stakeholders to negotiate KYC documentation.
• Perform Companies House searches and registrations.
• Maintain client information databases.
• Draft conditions precedent.
• Report transactions for business development and knowledge‑sharing purposes.
• Monitor and track the leveraged finance market.
• Update and develop practice‑area know‑how materials.
• Undertake ad‑hoc duties as required.

Required profile

• Strong academic background with an interest in leveraged finance.
• Minimum 6 months experience in a paralegal or compliance role within a law firm or in‑house legal department.
• Excellent interpersonal, attention‑to‑detail and organisational skills.
• Experience with KYC and/or compliance in a deal‑execution team is highly desired.
