Debt Recovery Litigation Executive

About the role

The Portfolio Group is seeking a confident Litigation Executive to manage a dedicated caseload of debt recovery matters. You will work within a fast‑growing law firm, handling the full litigation process while developing commercial insight and client relationships.

Key responsibilities

• Act as the primary contact for internal issues referred to the Litigation Team.
• Administer case tasks, ensuring court time‑frames are met and documents are filed using Proclaim case management software.
• Handle internal disputes involving current or former colleagues and Group businesses.
• Manage disputes between Group clients, former clients, and third parties.
• Conduct mediations between Group companies and their clients.
• Maximise recoveries while controlling costs to achieve optimal commercial outcomes.
• Renegotiate contracts where appropriate to support client retention.
• Maintain strategic relationships with external litigation partners.
• Attend court as required.

Required profile

• Working towards a legal qualification or possessing directly relevant litigation experience.
• Organised, proactive approach to a busy workload.
• Strong desire to understand the Group’s commercial environment.
• Initiative and willingness to take responsibility for high‑value, complex matters.
• Strategic mindset with the ability to analyse and manage litigation risk.
