Debugger Software Engineer

About the role

Arm is seeking a motivated Debugger Software Engineer to join its Agile team in Manchester. You will contribute to the development of Java and C++ based debugging tools that enable partners to create high‑performance software for embedded devices.

Key responsibilities

• Design, develop, and deploy new features for Arm Debugger and related tools.
• Collaborate with technology managers to clarify requirements and translate them into technical specifications.
• Participate in the full software development lifecycle, from design through testing and release.
• Develop firmware for the DSTREAM family of high‑performance debug and trace probes.

Required profile

• Strong practical experience with Java and/or C++ programming.
• Ability to reason abstractly and focus on key concepts across different levels of detail.
• Deep understanding of algorithms and data structures.
• Proactive attitude with a high level of initiative.
