Demolition Estimator

About the role

Our client, a fast‑growing demolition contractor in the Midlands, is seeking a dedicated Demolition Estimator. You will work closely with project managers and site teams to develop accurate costings, tenders and budgets for a variety of residential, commercial and industrial demolition projects.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare accurate costings, budgets and tender submissions for demolition and enabling works.
• Analyse drawings, specifications and site surveys to calculate materials, labour, plant and subcontractor requirements.
• Collaborate with project managers, site teams and suppliers to gather technical and commercial information.
• Review subcontractor and supplier quotations to ensure competitive pricing.
• Assist in preparing bid documents, schedules and reports for clients and internal stakeholders.
• Maintain estimating records, cost databases and project documentation.

Required profile

• Proven experience in estimating or quantity surveying within demolition, construction or civil engineering.
• Strong understanding of construction methods, materials and project costs.
• Ability to read and interpret technical drawings, plans and specifications.
• Excellent numerical, analytical and commercial awareness.
• Effective communication skills for liaising with project teams, clients and suppliers.

Required skills

• Proficiency in Microsoft Office.
• Experience with estimating software.
• Familiarity with CAD packages.

• Base salary £65,000‑£85,000 per year, dependent on experience.
