Deployed Engineer – Europe

About the role

Cognition is an applied AI lab building end‑to‑end software agents, including Devin, the first AI software engineer. As a Deployed Engineer you will act as a technical liaison between Cognition and its customers, ensuring they extract maximum value from the Devin/Windsurf platform.

Key responsibilities

• Own all technical aspects of the customer lifecycle—from deployment through activation—to guarantee successful product adoption.
• Collaborate directly with engineering teams to understand workflows, identify high‑impact use cases, and integrate Devin/Windsurf into production environments.
• Lead demos, pilots, and integration support while proactively addressing potential blockers.
• Build deep relationships with customers’ engineering teams, activate top users, and drive product utilization.
• Gather and act on customer feedback, implement requested features when feasible, and advocate for customer needs internally.
• Serve as the “customer oracle,” using product instincts to influence the roadmap.

Required profile

• Strong engineering foundation from a rigorous technical environment.
• Demonstrated track record of exceptional performance in academic, athletic, professional, or entrepreneurial pursuits.
• Self‑directed mindset; able to prioritize and act without constant managerial guidance.
• Excellent communication skills and ability to build trust with technical stakeholders.
